Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during the Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became the coach for Comaneci who first came across Comaneci at the age of six. At first, she competed in the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. And in 1970, the Romanian gymnast won. In 1972, in the communist nations' meet for junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she won three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974, she became the all-around junior champ. In her first senior competition in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four golds and one argent. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female in history to dismount the bars in parallel with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey of Carol Wayne to the world of entertainment started when she was a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her journey into the entertainment industry during her teenage years. When she was a child she started her career as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performance.
